  KANSAS STATE CAPITOL, SW 8th and Van Buren Street, Topeka, KS  66612 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.   Meet with your legislators!  8:00 a.m.                     Advocates packet delivery to Legislator Offices – First Floor 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.   Registration – First Floor, North Wing (up one floor from entry level) 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.     Exhibits - 1st Floor and 2nd Floor Rotunda                                         Selfie Station and cookies on the 2nd Floor 11:00 a.m.                    House of Representatives – View from 4th Floor Gallery – West Wing 11:45 a.m. - 12:50 p.m.  Lunch for Legislators and Advocates - 1st Floor - North Wing 1:00 p.m.              Rally for Mental Health for All! – Capitol South Steps Outdoors Join hundreds of advocates to celebrate mental health advocacy and honor our heroes! Exit south Capitol doors, return through the north entrance. 2:15 p.m.              Ice Cream Social – American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – 2nd floor                                 Don’t miss the ice cream!  This is a great time to see more legislators. 2:30 p.m.              Senate Session – View from 4th Floor Gallery – East Wing 3:30 p.m.              Exhibits end – Legislative appointments continue to 5:00 p.m. ALL DAY - Advocates meet with legislators - It is also a good idea to invite your legislator to join you at the lunch on 1st Floor.  Schedule appointments before you come to Topeka.   MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCACY DAY is hosted by the Kansas Mental Health Coalition to provide an opportunity for Kansans from across the state to talk about mental health at the State Capitol!

  Advocacy Day Exhibitors will be set up in the rotunda on the first and second floors of the Kansas State Capitol. from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Tables are pre-assigned and lunch is provided for up to two staff at no charge.  SPACE IS LIMITED AND REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE WHEN FULL.

  Please be sure your membership is paid for 2025 if you select a member rate.

  If you have more than 2 people at your table, please register them at 2025 Attendee RSVP Kansas Mental Health Advocacy Day   Groups / attendees should be registered at the Attendee RSVP link.  This will assure that they have nametags, free lunches and packets at registration.

  If you are signed up as a sponsor, you do not need to sign up at this link to exhibit.  The table is included in your sponsorship.

  You may set up as early as 8:00 a.m.  Please do not leave until 3:30 p.m.  Parking around the Capitol is limited - allow extra time and consider dropping off your group at the north entrance then parking. That link shows some parking garages. Parking south of the Judicial Center is free. If you want to park on the street, bring plenty of change. There are some 10 hour meters on Jackson between 9th and 10th street that are usually open if you arrive by 8:30 a.m. Yellow meters are 10 hours, gray meters are two hours and green meters have a one hour limit. The underground parking garage is limited to two hours. Crosby Place and Centre City Garages are in the link above and require parking fees.

  We couldn't host Mental Health Advocacy Day at the Capitol without the support of our wonderful sponsors!  The Kansas Mental Health Coalition relies on our generous sponsors in order to facilitate the opportunity for hundreds of individuals to gather at the Kansas Statehouse each year to advocate for important behavioral health issues and to enjoy the opportunity to meet and collaborate with other Kansans.  The Coalition shares information and educates participants about advocacy, story sharing and multiple public policy issues.  KMHC does not control or direct the messages shared by advocates.  

  Sponsors will be highlighted in our event documents, posters, and are entitled to an exhibit table depending on the level of support.  See Registration Types.  Let us know if you have restricted uses for contributed funds and we will tailor your sponsorship.
