Please be sure to register for KMHC Advocacy Day to use your new skills - including Legislator Luncheon, informational briefing, rally, exhibits, legislative sessions and legislative appointments. Advocates are also entitled to travel reimbursement for mileage. There is a separate registration link for Advocacy Day.

What is Advocacy Training?

This practical training teaches skills to tell your story and advocate for mental health policy. The outcome of this learning experience is that attendees will know how to schedule and meet with a state legislator, a county commissioner, a municipal decision-maker or a community leader. Build your skills to influence change to improve mental health policy in Kansas.

Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Location: NAMI Kansas, 1801 SW Wanamaker Rd Suite G6, Topeka, KS 66604

NAMI is located inside the West Ridge Mall - enter at the east door by Doughboyz Pizza, go up the escalator and NAMI is on the right side, 2nd floor.

Hotel and mileage provided to attend Mental Health Advocacy Day. Registration is limited.
