ALL DAY - Advocates are encouraged to schedule meetings with their legislators in advance of the event.  Appointments with legislators should take precedence over Advocacy Day activities. The Lunch is another opportunity to meet with your legislator – invite them to meet you there!

Committees will meet throughout the day and are open to the public – see House and Senate calendars for schedules.

The Kansas Mental Health Coalition is seeking volunteers for Advocacy Day!

Advocacy Day depends on dedicated volunteers to make it a success. We would welcome our attending coalition members to support the event by volunteering a portion of their day.

You can volunteer as little as 1 hour or as much as the entire day. Volunteer tasks include assignments such as directing guests, assisting exhibitors, or supporting advocates in their appointments with their legislators. Volunteer time slots begin at 8am and last until 3pm.

If you are unable to attend the event but still want to help, we are seeking volunteers to assist advocates in making appointments with their legislators ahead of the event. This could be done by phone or email in the weeks leading up to the event.

If you are interested, please email Brenna Visocsky (brennav@hqkansas.org) or Sarah Haupt (Sarah.Haupt@jocogov.org).
