9:35 a.m. New Business: August meeting date

There are significant mental health organization conflicts with the August date for our in person membership meeting in Topeka.  The Board recommends hosting the meeting August 13. Collect input and take action to set the date for the August in person meeting.

9:45 a.m. Reports 

   Board of Directors - meet June 25

   Treasurers Report - Mary Jones

   Big Tent Coalition - Mike Burgess

   KanCare Advocates Network - Sean Gatewood 

   Consumer Programs - CAC, CRO, P3, Clubhouse, Other

   Parity Committee -  Susan Rome - Trump Administration puts 2024 Federal Parity Rules on hold and will not enforce.

   Suicide Prevention Coalition / 988 Crisis Line - 

   South Central Regional Psychiatric Hospital Advisory Panel - Mary Jones

10:15 a.m.  Lobbyist Report    Amy Campbell 

• Interim Committees appointed - may be more added.

• KanCare 3.0 - Issues with EVV

• Congress Update: Budget Reconciliation Bill includes cuts to Medicaid, SNAP and will impact Medicare. Senate is expected to make changes - but may seek to reduce spending further.

10:45 a.m.  KDADS Update    Drew Adkins 

11:15 a.m.   Annual Elections Open nominations from the floor for Board seats for 2025-2027. Nominees should be full members, active in the organization.

Nominations Committee recommends:

   Board Members renewed for next term 2024-2027

    Colin Thomasset, Jane Rhys, Dr. Sherrie Vaughn, Monica Kurz

Accept motion to approve nominated Board members.

Nominations Committee recommends: Monica Kurz to be elected as President for first partial term to be one year. Sherrie Vaughn to be elected as Vice President for 2nd term to be two years. Mary Jones to be elected as Treasurer to be a partial term for one year. Lori Barnes to be elected as Secretary for 2nd term to be two years.  Nominations may be accepted from the floor.

Accept motion to elect officers.
