Welcome!

March 9, 2027, is our next Advocacy Day!  If you are interested in being a part of our committee, we would love to have you!  Join our first meeting and help us to start planning.

Notes from 2026:

1)  Registration location change, was it a good decision?  Same space again?

2)  Add clean up to volunteer list.  We do a good job at cleaning it up, but should be make it an actual duty?

3)  Clearer volunteer roles.  Do we simplify duties so some volunteers aren't sitting around?  Maybe have a questionnaire for them to fill out on what duties, times, etc. work best for them?

4)  Ice cream?  Not as big as a turn out last year.  If we continue, bump up the time to 2:00pm so the Senate can partake?

5)  Name tags.  Last year there was some issues with finding peoples name tags.  Maybe have the person involved with organizing be there and available to help.  Shelia is no longer with HQKS.  So, we need a new name tag person/organizer.

6)  Re-use themes?  Rotate between mental health is health and every piece matters.

7)  Awards.  Go back to grass roots?

8)  Selfie station:  Tim H no longer works at Kanokla.  I'm seeing if they would be okay with training me and letting us use it.  If not, what other ideas do we have.

9)  Cookies and bundts again?

10)  Photos.  Would like to get a really good photographer to capture the day.

11)  Social Workers at the Docking Bldg. and will be joining us.

12) AFSP?  Madison is no longer there.  New person is Lisa Brattain.  Should we contact her?

13)  Rally speaker

14)  Set meeting schedule

15)  NAMI Smarts: Online Module 1 and 2 are Nov. 9 and 23.  Online Module 1 and 3 are Dec. 14 and 28.  Will have some more planned for February.  David Larson working on some in person in Wichita.  March 8 in Topeka.  Need to discuss hotel reimbursement.

16)  VIP:  Sponsorships.  Who is contacting who?  Advent, Camber, Mission, Healthforward, Sunflower, United, Reach, Healthy Blue/Blue Cross, Via Christi, Cottonwood Springs, NetSmart, Prairie View, ACMHCK, JO Co Mental Health, HQKS.
